I find so much inspiration, love and support from my oil community! These women in this community mean the world to me. So I thought it might be fun to introduce some of the Oil Babes that influence me and teach me how to love and heal! I get so many questions asking why I love my oil community, so I thought it might be fun to hear how the women around me answer!

Tell me about yourself and why you started using essential oils?
I’m a wife, mom to 3 amazing kids (1 girl & 2 boys). I love the beach, pilates, running, country music & all things health & wellness. I’m a certified health coach & soon to be certified holistic nutritionist. I started using oils after my 3rd baby was born. I was looking for natural ways to keep him & our whole family healthy. I did a ton of research about holistic options which led me to Doterra but also has lead our family on a beautiful journey to clean out all the toxins in our home. I love learning & it has become a passion of mine to teach others how easy & important it is take care of our families using natural solutions.
What motivated you to start building a business with doTERRA? When did you decide you would commit to it for the long term?
When I bought my first kit, I had no intention of doing the business, I ended up reaching out to Jenna a few months later inquiring about the business mainly because I loved the oils so much & was telling everyone I knew to use them. She told me to come to a training in Washington, DC. I had never met Jenna in person or anyone else at this training but there was this little voice in the back of my head telling me to go. I bought a plane ticket the next day, went to a 2 day training, met the most amazing people & here I am today (a little over a year later). My passion & love for our community, these oils & educating & empowering others grows stronger every day. This business has given me so much confidence, drive & purpose.
How has your life changed since using and sharing these oils?
Oh wow, this opportunity has completely changed my life. I am forever grateful. My family, our health, my mindset, my personal development & our finances have completely changed for the better. I’ve been working the same marketing job for the last 12 1/2 years & was recently able to quit so that I can follow my heart & passion which is educating others about health & wellness. I get to work with men & women literally all over the world. It’s been the most incredible experience.
What has been an obstacle or limiting belief in your business that you have since learned to overcome, and how?
Fear. Fear of what others will think, fear of people saying no, fear of telling people that I’m in network marketing, fear of putting yourself out there. I don’t think I’ve completely overcome the fear. I work on it every day but I also realized that fear is a choice. I get to chose how I want to feel every single day. Some days are harder than others but most days are really good. I choose not to take things personally, not to worry about what others think about me or network marketing (which btw is an extremely smart business model if you think about. Essential oils are amazing natural tools but people need to be educated on how to use them. That’s were I come in, I’m there to teach & educate others. If you’re buying oils off the shelf at your health food store, you’re getting zero education plus you’re missing out on an amazing community of like minded men & women. You’re also most likely purchasing an oil that’s full of fillers & not truly 100% pure essential oils.) & I’ve realized that putting myself out there has been one of the most rewarding experiences in my life. I wouldn’t have the friends, community, opportunities or the ability to bless other people’s lives with these amazing oils if I had let fear take over.
What is a piece of advice you give a new builder starting their business journey?
Be Yourself. Above all rock you. There is no one in this world like you. Others will be drawn to you by you just simply being yourself. It’s so easy to get caught up in what everyone else is doing & start the horrible comparison game. Don’t let it suck you in. Build your business your way & rock it. Everyone does it differently. Another piece of advice would be to listen. Listen to those around you. Listen to their needs & concerns. People are always looking for answers & options. Be there to listen.
What has surprised you most about building a doTERRA business?
The friendships & our community, it’s hard to describe unless you’re in it. My friend circle grew by the hundreds when I started using essentials oils & building this business. It’s been incredible.
